In the following page are news reports from the Chronicle of Higher Education and other websites on
massive open online courses. The reporting on this phenomenon by the Chronicle began in 2008. Many of
these were contributed by colleagues from within and without university. A sincere thank you to all of you. However, this page would not have been possible without the exponentially dedicated commitment exhibited by Rhodes College's Dr. Scott Newstok and his timely monitoring of MOOC reports that exist on the internet. A special thanks goes to him for providing alternative online media about massive open online courses; in fact, the wonderfully evocative image above came from one of his link suggestions.
Please note that I'm sorting the uploads/links only by dates. That means if two or three reports fall on the same dates, there will be no alphabetical ordering by surname of author. Secondly, there are no peer-reviewed articles provided on this website since the compilation of them would take exponential amounts of time. Finally, the Chronicle reports I have in pdf format are only those that can be accessed on their website for free. Those who are paying members have more access to other Chronicle articles. Articles accessible to paying members are not listed here.
If you'd like to add to this page, feel free to send any news reports/publications to email@example.com
so that we can have a healthy repository of information. Or, if any of you would like provide links to websites that attend to this topic, I'd be more than happy to post them here. For the time being, I will try to keep this page as current as I can. Thank you and best wishes.
